250 kVA Oil-Immersed Transformer

Request a 250 kVA oil-immersed transformer quotation for your project. Separate the present connected load from equipment planned for the next expansion. A small workshop, water-service site or local distribution point may need different starting and diversity assumptions even when each inquiry names 250 kVA. Confirm the voltage ratio, installation and accessory scope against the actual duty; the fields below distinguish the requested capacity from project-specific engineering inputs.

Reference data basis S13-M-250/10Third-party published reference design for preliminary comparison, not Zoe guaranteed performance. Source and limitations are in the linked reference sheet. Project confirmation
Reference voltage ratio 10 / 0.4 kV10/0.4 kV is a selected reference combination from the manufacturer series, not a Zoe design approval. The Russian table leaves LV blank at 1600 kVA and above; the English series table declares 0.4 kV. Project confirmation
Reference frequency 50 HzSelected reference duty, not a dual-frequency nameplate. The project offer must match the actual supply. Project confirmation
Reference phases Three phaseBalanced three-phase reference selection. Project confirmation
Reference connection group Dyn11Compare neutral, earthing, phase displacement and parallel-operation requirements before ordering. Project confirmation
Reference cooling Oil-immersed, natural cooling reference arrangementReference arrangement only. No fan-assisted overload allowance is implied. Project confirmation

Application Suitability

Where This Configuration Fits

Separate the present connected load from equipment planned for the next expansion. A small workshop, water-service site or local distribution point may need different starting and diversity assumptions even when each inquiry names 250 kVA.

Small-site supply and future load additions: Check whether a larger motor starts while other loads remain connected. Include the starting method and available supply information; a simple total of motor nameplate kW does not settle transformer selection. A capacity match alone does not establish electrical compatibility or suitability for the installation.

Site Requirements

Installation And Operating Conditions

Check these points before fixing the layout or approving the foundation. Final clearances and interfaces come from the configuration-specific outline.

Installation And Interfaces

Check whether a larger motor starts while other loads remain connected. Include the starting method and available supply information; a simple total of motor nameplate kW does not settle transformer selection.

Provide foundation dimensions, clearances, drainage or oil-containment requirements and the HV/LV cable approach. Identify the final location and access needed for inspection and maintenance. Local installation requirements belong to the site design.

Operating Conditions

Describe the ambient temperature range, altitude, expected load profile and exposure to dust, moisture, salt or other site conditions. Include important starting events and nonlinear loads. These inputs can change the engineering review even when the requested capacity stays the same.

For outdoor service, state the site exposure, protection and inspection requirements. Cooling surfaces, cable routes and service access should remain compatible with the final compound arrangement.

Quotation Scope

What The Quotation Covers

To prepare an initial supply package with a stated allowance for later loads, send the requested 250 kVA rating, HV/LV voltages, frequency, quantity and project destination. Attach the specification or provide its relevant requirements in your message.

Separate the transformer and agreed accessories from switching equipment, external cables or busduct, foundations, installation and commissioning by others. Request a parameter and deviation schedule with the quotation, then agree the outline and document stages for the order.

How To Start Your Inquiry

Distributors: state the order quantity, destination and which specifications must repeat across units. EPC teams: include the technical schedule, document milestones and scope boundaries. Plant teams: provide the existing nameplate and changed load or installation conditions for replacement work.

If the voltage or installation arrangement is not yet fixed, describe what is known and ask for selection advice. No configuration needs to be preselected to start an inquiry.

Send the specification you have today. A partial one is fine: the reply lists what still needs confirming before the quotation is comparable.

Product Questions

Before You Send The Inquiry

Is 250 kVA the same as 250 kW?

No. kVA is apparent power; kW depends on power factor. At an assumed power factor of 0.8, 250 kVA corresponds to 200 kW. This calculation is not a complete sizing check: starting duty, harmonics, ambient conditions and operating requirements also need review.

What LV current should I use when discussing this 250 kVA unit?

For a balanced three-phase calculation, 250 kVA gives approximately 361 A at 400 V or 348 A at 415 V. State the actual secondary voltage. Cable, busbar, switchgear and protection selection require the applicable design calculations and installation conditions.

What should be settled before comparing quotations?

Use an initial supply package with a stated allowance for later loads as the comparison basis. Check whether a larger motor starts while other loads remain connected. Include the starting method and available supply information; a simple total of motor nameplate kW does not settle transformer selection.

Are dimensions, losses and accessories fixed by this capacity page?

No. Request the values and included accessories for the proposed voltage, construction and cooling duty. Keep the electrical schedule, outline and commercial scope tied to the same offered configuration and revision.
